ORVC vs EIAC

Monday the Shiners came calling on the Batesville Bulldogs.  After about and hour lightning delay, the bats of RS were electrified to the tune of a 7 run first inning.  Tiffany Vinup blanked the Dogs for 4 innings.  They were able to dent the plate in the 5th with a 2 run shot.  Bailee Bostic

Shiner JV Defeats Switz. Co.

Friday evening the Shiner JV racked up another win with a 9-4 victory over Switzerland Co.  Claire Poling got the win.  Emily Kendrick and Tiffany Vinup each had 2 hits.  One of Vinup’s hits was a HR to center.  Other hits were added byJacqueline Stapleton, Katie Jackson, Macy Elliott, Baylie Hunter, and Kelsey Romans. http://seilocalsports.com/softball/48192/

Golfers Duplicate Score From Saturday

The Shiner golfers defeated Southwestern and South Ripley in a triangular match at Spring Hills GC in Hanover. Team scores were: Rising Sun 159, Southwestern 171, South Ripley 225. Last Thursday, May 8th, Rising Sun hosted the 50th Rising Sun Invitation. The Rising Sun Boy’s track team finished 1st and the Rising Sun Girl’s finished 4th.
