Changes In Freshman Basketball Schedule

There are a few changes to the freshman basketball schedule. The December 1st game vs. Southwestern is now a home game. A road game at Southwestern has been added on January 5, 2015 The home game vs. South Ripley on January 15, 2015 has been cancelled.

Lady Shiner Basketball splits the opening weekend

The Rising Sun Girls Basketball program split the opening weekend. The Shiners lost at 11th ranked, Jac-Cen-Del on Friday but came back with a solid home win over South Decatur on Saturday, 53-47. Girls Basketball Season gets underway.

The Rising Sun Girls Basketball Teams tip off their season this weekend. The Lady Shiner JV and Varsity play at Jac-Cen-Del on Friday and host South Decatur on Saturday. Both JV games start at 6pm.

Shiner Volleyball Finishes Strong

The girls volleyball teams finished their regular season play this week. JV lost to South Ripley in three sets (25-17, 22-25, 7-15) on Tuesday night but redeemed themselves on Thursday night by beating Jac-Cen-Del in two sets (25-19, 25-20). The junior varsity finished their season with a record of 9-9 and 3-3 in ORVC. The

IHSAA Volleyball Pairings

The IHSAA Volleyball Sectional pairings are out. Rising Sun will play JCD in the first game of the IHSAA Sectional #60 at Hauser. The Lady Shiners play Thursday, Oct. 23rd at 6pm. The full pairings can be seen at   IHSAA Volleyball Sectional Pairings    

ORVC Cross Country Champs!

Congratulations to the RS boys cross country team as they won the ORVC Cross Country team championship last night at Hanover College. Three boys made all conference: Zach Martini, Matt Yocum and Claudio Gallegos. The girls cross country team had a great night finishing third with their lead runner, Kinzie Scott out due to injury.

Rising Sun boys soccer finished a memorable regular season Friday night with an incredible ORVC win over the undefeated Southwestern. The Shiners won the hard fought battle 1-0.
