The junior varsity took Oldenburg in two games: 25-11, 25-5.  Brittany Smith had a game high of 3 kills and added 3 aces.  Jacqueline Stapleton lead the team with 5 aces. Saturday the Rising Sun High School Cross Country teams hosted the 8th annual Beast of the Southeast CC Invitational. Schools involved were: Trinity Lutheran, South Decatur, Southwestern (Hanover), Southwestern (Shelby) and Waldron. Rising Sun Lady Shiners Soccer lose to Greensburg in season opener

On Tuesday evening, August 19th, The Lady Shiners hosted the Greensburg Lady Pirates to open the soccer season. Neither team scored in the first half.
