Physicals Postponed

Sports Physicals by Highpoint Health and OrthoCincy were scheduled for April 15th at Rising Sun High School. These have been canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions. The physicals will be rescheduled for over the summer.

Spring Sports Schedule Updates

Spring sports schedules are taking a hard hit as we are facing the Covid-19 pandemic. There will be no practices or activities while Rising Sun High School is not in session. Therefore, at this point all sporting events are cancelled through April 25th. We are scheduled to be back in session on Monday, April 13th.

Shiners push #12 Morristown in Sectional; come up short

Shiners invade Hornet’s Nest; Get the Win

The JV Shiners concluded their 20-19-20 season with a long trek to Medora on Friday night to take on the Hornets.  The long bus ride left  the Shiners a little sluggish to start the game and the Shiners found themselves down 9-8 at the end of the 1st quarter and 20-14 at halftime.  The Shiner

Shiners draw 1st Round Sectional BYE

The IHSAA had their Boys Basketball tournament draw on Sunday and the Rising Sun Shiners received a 1st round bye.  The Sectional #60 at Southwestern (Shelbyville) will start with 1 game on Tuesday March 3rd as #10 Morristown takes on Waldron with the winner advancing to take on the Shiners on Friday night March 6

2nd Quarter dooms Shiners at South Ripley
