The Lady Shiners traveled to Versailles on Friday to play the Raiders. The first quarter found the Shiners down 8 to 12. At the half, the Shiners trailed 25-12 when they did not have an answer for South Ripley’s center, Cierra Copeland. After making some defensive adjustments and attacking the rim more on offense, the Shiners were able to put points on the board. However, they could not overcome the early deficit. The final score was 53-35. Leading the Shiners were freshman Baylee Morris with 14 points and junior Maddi Wilson with 11. The Lady Shiners are back in action Tuesday, December 10th against Oldenburg Academy at home. The JV starts at 6:00.
The JV lost to the Raiders 35-19. Jenna Saylor was the Shiners leading scorer with 10 points.
