  • SR  0  0  0  1  0  0  0 – 1R 6H 1E
  • RS  1  0  0  0  4  0  X – 5R 10H 2E

Rising Sun’s Bryce Kendrick:

Sydney Pitts threw a complete game, struck out 8 batters, scattered 6 hits and allowed 1 unearned run on an overthrow.  She hit a key 2-run homer in the bottom of the fifth to break a 1-1 tie.  Pitts also singled and stole a base.

Sydney Bostic and Abby Wallace both singled twice.  Bostic also drove in a run.

Wallace and Shelby Stogsdill both recorded an assist from the outfield.  Wallace doubled up a runner at first while Stogsdill threw out a runner trying to advance to third.  Lindsay Montgomery had 5 assists at third base and also tripled.

The victory improved Rising Sun’s conference record to 10-0 which guarantees at least a tie for the ORVC title.  A win over Southwestern Tuesday will clinch it outright.
