The Shiners traveled to Morristown to take on the Yellow Jackets in a mid week make up game from January. The Yellow Jackets JV had only lost 2 games on the season and the Shiners knew they had their work cut out for them. The 1st quarter was tight with Morristown taking a 10-8 lead at the end of the period, all 8 points came from Shiner sharpshooter Chris Bowne. A sluggish start to the beginning of the 2nd period hurt the Shiners, however Landon Cole was able to throw in 7 points to keep it close at the break at 22-15. The 3rd quarter sealed the deal as the Shiners only made 1 basket in the stanza losing that frame 16-2 to go down 21. The Shiners played better in the 4th quarter losing that quarter 12-10 for the final score of 50-27. The Shiners (7-12, 2-3) will finish the JV season on Friday night with another long road trip to take on Hauser at 6:00pm.
