It was the last home game for 5 seniors Friday night and they made it a memorable one with a 66-39 conference win over the South Ripley Raiders. The Shiner defense was stifling as it seemed like they were playing with 6 guys on the floor all night. The Shiners held the conference’s 2nd leading scorer, Cody Samples, to 9 points on 2 made field goals. All 5 Seniors started the game and scored as well. Nick Koons had 17, Wesley Rider 16 (11 in the 4th Quarter) as he battled illness all night, Jake Bovard 12, Noah Pflum 6 and Brent Webb had 1. Sophomore Landon Cole also had 14 for the Shiners. The Shiners travel to Morristown on Tuesday, February 19 to take on a potential sectional opponent and defending 1A State Champion Yellow Jackets with JV action starting at 6:00pm.
