Rising Sun started off quick getting a goal just two minutes into the game. Zac Brokaw took the ball quickly down the right side. His cross found the head of Jake Bovard and then the back of the net. Rising Sun took a quick lead and looked ready to roll. Despite several more good opportunities Rising Sun could not add another one to their tally. At the 20 minute mark Switzerland County managed to knock one in on a long cross to even the score 1-1. A few minutes later, Switzerland County sent one through the defense, and they buried the breakaway to take a 2-1 lead. Matt Martini made several key saves to keep the score line at 2-1 until halftime. Rising Sun came out ready to play the second half. The defense of Jaydin Parsons, Bryce Abner, Jason McClellan and Justis White were ready to keep Switzerland County at two and let the offense go forward. At the 30th minute, Jake Bovard obliged on a nice pass from James Bounds. He calmly passed one under the sliding keeper, and Rising Sun had evened it at 2. Five minutes later, Jake Bovard snuck another one in just inside the post to give Rising Sun the lead back again at 3-2. At the 12 minute mark Matt Martini threw a long outlet to midfield where Brent Webb slipped in between the defenders, and Zac Brokaw took it alone on the keeper, putting it past him to make it a 4-2 lead. It looked like the game was safe but Switzerland County battled one back on another long cross and header, just sneaking by the diving keeper to get the score back to one goal at 4-3. Rising Sun held on from there to take the game with the 4-3 final.
